Bagbin refers Akufo-Addo’s new ministerial nominees to Appointment Committee of Parliament

Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, referred President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s new appointments to the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Wednesday, February 14. The Speaker read the President’s letter containing the appointments in the House on the same day.

Mohammed Amin Adams, Minister of State at the Finance Ministry, has been reassigned as the substantive Minister for the Finance Ministry in the latest reshuffle.

Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has been removed from the Ministry of Information and sent to the Works and Housing Ministry.

Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has been relieved of his portfolio with immediate effect.

Other ministers who have been removed include:

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has been reassigned to Works and Housing, and Asenso-Boakye has also been reassigned to Roads and Highways.

This information was announced by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, on Wednesday, February 14.

“The President personally expressed his sincere appreciation directly to each of the Ministers and Deputy Ministers who have exited Government for their commitment, competence, dedication, and hard work in office, which helped in the realization of Government’s mandate to the Ghanaian people over the last seven (7) years, and wished each of them well in their future endeavors,” the statement said.
