The Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram Constituency, Samuel Nartey George, has expressed his condolences and paid tribute to his predecessor, Enoch Teye Mensah, who passed away on Sunday.
ET Mensah, a prominent figure in Ghanaian politics, served the people of Ningo-Prampram for two decades as their Member of Parliament. His tenure ended in 2017 when Samuel Nartey George, affectionately known as Sam George, succeeded him.
In his tribute, MP Sam George extended heartfelt condolences to the family of ET Mensah on behalf of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ningo-Prampram Constituency. He recognized ET Mensah’s remarkable service to the nation, spanning over four decades.
The late former Member of Parliament had a distinguished political career, having held various positions, including Minister of Education, Minister of Youth and Sports (the longest-serving in that sector to date), Minister of Employment and Social Welfare, and Mayor of Accra.
MP Sam George conveyed prayers for the peaceful repose of ET Mensah’s soul and wished strength for his grieving family members. ET Mensah’s contributions to the nation and his dedication to public service will be remembered and celebrated.
ET Mensah’s body is expected to be brought back to Ghana on Monday, October 2, where final funeral arrangements will be made to honor his legacy. He was 77 years old at the time of his passing.
