Kennedy Agyapong’s Campaign Team Courts Alan Kyerematen’s Supporters Ahead of Delegate Congress

Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign team is actively seeking the support of Alan Kyerematen and his supporters for the upcoming November 4th delegate’s congress. This move comes in the wake of Mr. Kyerematen’s withdrawal from the race and his subsequent resignation from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), signaling a potential rift within the party.

Sammy Crabbe, a member of the Ken for President Campaign Team, addressed the media in Accra, emphasizing the importance of uniting party members and supporters for the upcoming delegate’s congress.

“Politics is about numbers, and we count numbers at the end of the day to win. So, of course, it should concern us, it should concern Ken as the flagbearer going into December 2024. We must try as much as possible to organize everyone. If you join Alan’s and Ken’s votes together, Bawumia will be defeated,” stated Sammy Crabbe.

He further emphasized their goal of winning in the first round and defeating the current Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, without the need for a second round of voting.

The move to court Alan Kyerematen’s supporters highlights the significance of consolidating support within the NPP ahead of the delegate’s congress, which will play a crucial role in determining the party’s leadership and direction moving forward. The political landscape in Ghana is likely to witness further developments as the congress approaches.
