Ghana best WASSCE student travelled from Wa to Tamale to receive an award of 200 Cedis.

AbdulLatif Fawei, the best student in the recently completed West African Senior School Certificate  Examination (WASSCE) at Gushegu Senior High School, has received a two hundred Ghana cedi (200 ghc) award from the area’s MP, Lawyer Hassan Tampuli.

This was revealed following the country’s 66th independence celebration, where the cash award was  presented to the awardee by the District Education Director.

According to Master Latif, I graduated from Gushiegu Senior High School last year and had the best resultin the school when the results were released. My school called me the day before yesterday, inviting me  to Gushegu on March 6th. They informed me that the Member of Parliament, Honourable Alhassan  Tampuli, had an award for me.

“I went to Gushegu on the the said day for the award as best WASSCE student of Gushegu SHS. “The education director handed me an envelope containing 200 ghc,” he added.

Master Latif graduated from Gushegu Senior High School in 2022, where he studied General Arts, and is now studying Education and Social Science at the University for Development Studies (UDS) Wa campus.

He had to travel from Upper West to accept the award.
